Impressions of a Pilot
Flight is freedom in its purest form, To roll and glide, to wheel and spin, To leave the earth with its troubles and fly, Then back to earth at the end of a day, Should my end come while I am in flight, Spare me your pity and shrug off the pain, For each of us is created to die, — Gary Claud Stokor The disable aviation association was started in 2004 by an enthusiastic group of people who felt that disabled issues were under represented in South African Aviation circles. Although there were numerous people before us who have been involved in aviation, with the tightening regulatory environment it was decided to best serve the community by creating an organisation that could represent disabled pilots collectively. We are affiliated to the Aeroclub of South Africa, who represent the sporting side of general aviation in South Africa, and who have representation with the CAA, and other aviation organisation. |
